This week I want to mention the guy who is, in my mind, the greatest fantasy artist of all time: Larry Elmore. I'll never forget my first time seeing the red Dungeons and Dragons Basic Set with its incredible cover illustration of the warrior attacking the red dragon, it pretty much made the sale right there. His style brings a sense of realism and detail to even the most exotic monsters and far-fetched situations.
He's drawn the greatest heroes of the Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance settings, and covers of multiple D & D products. Check out some of his work here.
