I wasn't sure what to expect from Rogue One. Seemed like just a new story Disney was shoehorning in to make some extra money. Which of course it is. But after seeing the teaser trailer this week, I'm super excited about it.
1. Felicity Jones' character looks a hell of a lot more interesting than Rey. It remains to be seen whether there will be any nuance at all, but I'm hopeful based on the few seconds we saw.
2. The cast looks great. Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker, and Diego Luna? All badass.
3. That Imperial Admiral in all white - could he show some shades of Thrawn?
4. I'm hopeful the plot won't be overstuffed and/or re-treading plot points of Epsode IV like certain other movies.
5. We'll see if any Bothans died getting the plans to the first Death Star as well.
